I bring over 20 years of experience in operational roles in the legal industry, most recently as the COO of a mid-sized law firm in Chicago. I have managed and led firms through periods of significant change and rapid growth by collaborating with firm leaders to advance strategic objectives. I was often brought-in to build consensus, integrate policies, develop procedures, and create new opportunities. Basically, I was expected to figure out what was needed and get it done. Through this experience, I’ve learned to navigate political waters, solve operational problems, and sharpen my interpersonal skills. I’ve handled large and small change initiatives and I have an innate ability to keep my eye on the end game, hear what people and organizations really want and ultimately, get them there. After a successful career in the legal industry, I decided to become a coach and consultant because I want to focus on what I really love - helping people and organizations move forward. To hone my coaching skills, I trained with Oprah’s favorite life coach, Martha Beck. I am passionate about helping organizations to focus on their missions and objectives and align their work, systems and teams to reach those goals. I am equally as passionate about helping people figure out what they value, what they really want, and how to create more joy and well-being in their lives.
On a personal note, my greatest inspiration has been my family. I believe that work does not have to be soul-sucking. Throughout my career and my own experiences, I have learned that people-pleasing, controlling, striving, sacrificing and sucking it up can only get you so far - it's exhausting and you don't have to do it anymore.
